Blister blogging, day 3
I went to the immediate care center at Unity Healthcare today and had my blisters popped. They’re all bandaged up now. They actually hurt more now that the raw skin is exposed, but I’m sure they’ll feel better in a few days. Then this sordid tale can come to a close.
If I understood the doctor right, I had first-degree burns on my feet which smoothly transitioned into second-degree burns by my toes where the blisters formed. How fun!

Well, Dave…I must say, I really feel bad for you. I do wonder why you didn’t go to the doctor earlier especially when the blisters started growing!! What meds did the doctor give you? OUCHY!!!

Like the rest of my family, I’m very stubborn when it comes to going to the doctor. Also, I don’t have a local doctor that I go to, so after calling around I found out that most of these doctors aren’t accepting new patients. So finally, I gave up and went to urgent care.
What meds did the doctor give you?
Colorful happy ones that turn everything into clovers and blue moons. Also a prescription for an antibiotic if the blisters become infected.
Not all of your family is stubborn about seeing the doctor! I, for one, see the doctor about anything and everything that bothers me (beyond colds and flu). I am definitely the opposite of mom when it comes to these things.
I’m glad that you finally got those yellow jelly beans popped.
